Updated Messaged from Father Jim Petrie: July 15, 2021
Effective July 16th, 2021, churches are permitted to celebrate Masses and other liturgies at capacity with social distancing. This roughly works out to 250 people in the church. Due to the social distancing, this is a very insignificant increase from stage two and hence not much will change. Also as a result of this, the ‘first-come, first-served’ approach to attendance at Mass will continue. However, once capacity is reached, the doors will be locked and no one will be allowed in the building after this point.
This system will be in effect until the province of Ontario and the diocese of Hamilton issues directives that will implement further changes.
We remind you that health protocols remain in place. This means that social distancing of six feet between different social bubbles and face masks are mandatory in the church.
Once again we remind you that if you are unwell, please do not come to Mass. Please watch Mass on television or on the internet. One option is our parish livestreamed Mass which happens on Saturdays at 5:00 pm and is uploaded onto our parish YouTube channel for viewing the entire week. Our parish YouTube channel link is:
St. Benedict Milton YouTube Channel.
Hope you enjoying the warm days of summer!
God bless,
Father Jim Petrie
