SACRAMENT OF MATRIMONY

Couples planning to marry at Saint Benedict Parish should contact the parish office one year in advance of their desired wedding date. They should be members of our Parish or from families who are members of our Parish. Attendance at Sunday Mass and participation in the life of the Parish are welcome signs of a couple’s commitment to faith.

The Sacrament of Matrimony is celebrated by two Catholics, or by a Catholic and a non-Catholic, who are free from any previous bond of marriage.

Marriage preparation is provided and required.

Our parish serves the community south of Derry Road in the Town of Milton.

For couples who live outside Saint Benedict Parish, kindly contact your Parish priest to discuss your plans for marriage. Please note that we do not accept weddings for couples who live outside the Diocese of Hamilton.

Kindly complete the following FORM, and submit it to the parish office. Our office will contact you to schedule an appointment with the Pastor. A date for matrimony is arranged only during a personal meeting between the Pastor and the couple.
